E-sport department
Within the framework of the Széchenyi István University Sports Association (SZESE), the E-sport department was established in 2019 with the professional support of the Digital Development Centre for IT and ICT. From January 2023 onwards, the department will hold its e-sport training sessions in three adjacent rooms equipped with high-tech equipment on the university campus. In addition to e-sport training and e-sport competitions, the development of simulators and technical equipment, streaming and content production are also an important part of the portfolio of activities. The department organises a wide range of thematic events, from small house tournaments and classic LAN Parties to e-sport events that fill the entire sports hall (e.g. PlayIT).

E-sports community
The department is a community platform where active students and alumni of Széchenyi István University, players enthusiastic about e-sports can meet, develop and compete. The members of the community participate in international and national competitions, enhancing the reputation of the University, in popular games such as various car simulators, League of Legends, CS 2, Valorant, Rocket League, EAFC. The e-Sports Department is also involved in the training and management of competitive teams and the organisation of e-Sports events. It offers interested amateur e-sports players the opportunity to try out and practice e-sports on the latest equipment.
