The colleagues of the Digital Development Centre of Széchenyi István University also got involved in flood protection
The staff of the Digital Development Centre of Széchenyi István University took an active part in packing sandbags in Győr-Bácsa, supporting the efforts of the North Transdanubian Water Management Directorate in the fight against the flooding of the Danube and its tributaries. This is an exemplary cooperation between the local community and water professionals.
The staff of the Digital Development Centre of Széchenyi István University also actively contributed to the flood protection works in Győr-Bácsa, at the Sand Filling Station. By packing sandbags, the colleagues supported the efforts of the North Transdanubian Water Management Directorate in protecting against the extraordinary flood wave on the Danube and its tributaries.
The aim of the university team was to volunteer their time to help professionals protect endangered areas. The teamwork and community support proved once again that together, through collective effort, significant results can be achieved.
DDC colleagues are proud to have been part of this exemplary team effort to keep local residents safe. This action demonstrates the important role that civil society and university communities can play in protecting against natural disasters.
