A Technological Adventure at Széchenyi István University: Laboratories, Artificial Intelligence and Esports

IT students from Győri SZC Bolyai János Technical School explored digital innovations, 5G technology and artificial intelligence in university laboratories, then tried out modern gaming equipment at UNI GYŐR E-SPORT.

Discovering Digital Innovations Firsthand

How do IT, digital innovation and esports come together in practice? IT students from Győri SZC Bolyai János Technical School visited the Győr campus of Széchenyi István University, where they learned about the work of the Digital Development Centre (DDC) and the activities of UNI GYŐR E-SPORT. The visit aimed to give students hands-on experience in a real-world technological environment and introduce them to the practical applications of IT and engineering.

Advanced Technologies in University Laboratories

During the programme, students explored the work of the Radio Frequency Testing Laboratory and the Telecommunications and Informatics Laboratory. They learned about activities related to testing electronic devices and the role of advanced technologies such as 5G, high-speed data transmission and artificial intelligence.

The laboratory visits allowed students to go beyond theoretical knowledge and gain insight into how digital technologies are applied in practice.

Career Guidance and Further Study Opportunities

Visits like this play an important role in career guidance. They allow secondary school students to discover Széchenyi István University’s laboratories, technological developments and aspects of university life firsthand. The programme also gave students the opportunity to learn directly about the academic and career opportunities available at the university.

The Digital Development Centre at Széchenyi István University values initiatives like this, which help young people explore future educational and career paths.

Thank you to the students and accompanying teachers from Győri SZC Bolyai János Technical School for visiting us. We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
